Our collection of 1950's New Old Stock (NOS) tubes being used in the WNQ are the absolute very best, and perfectly matched to each and every WNQ.

We break-in the 3 x 10" speakers by playing them in (sometimes for 40 hours!!). The amplifier you get, is THE amplifier - fully broken in and just perfect.

Our built-in microphone system installs a microphone on the speaker frame itself directly within the cabinet. An XLR output is provided for studio and live applications. An additional microphone can be added per speaker, allowing each speaker to be mixed separately for maximum control.

We had Mercury Magnetics custom build a very special new transformer for the WNQ - The amazingly heavy piece of iron not only outputs the proper 2.67 OHM's as required by the 3 x 10" Weber 8 OHM alnico speakers, but we have also included a switch allowing you to also choose 4 OHM and 8 OHM for the output impedance. This feature provides the player a with a multitude of cabinet options - especially when you factor in the 2 parallel outputs available on the WNQ.

Everything about the WNQ is special. Whether it be the choice of finishing screws, to the custom made Brookwood Leather handle and custom footman loops. The WNQ is a truly a once in a lifetime amplifier - perhaps even an Heirloom amplifier.

The speaker cabinet of The WNQ is something you have to hear! The combination of the best solid Northeastern White Pine, Custom made12 gauge wiring harness with 24k gold spade connectors, and the trio of Weber alnico 10" speakers help create the most musical experience ever. The amplifier breathes and moves air in a way that will put a smile on your face!!!

Way back when these amplifiers were originally built, the voltage coming out of the typical outlet was generally much lower (averaging 110 - 116 Volts) and the amps sounded simply amazing! In the spirit of Tone-Happiness, all WNQ amplifiers must be purchased with it's companion BrownBox from AmpRx. The BrownBox allows us to set a specific incoming voltage to the amplifier (usually around 116-117 Volts) and then adjust the bias to the lower plate voltage. Most venues output way higher voltage today, with common voltages reaching 127-129 Volts. These higher and sometimes unstable voltages can not only diminish tube life, but can stress the tone of the amplifier, and wreak havoc on tube life and electronics in general. Now full disclosure - This amp is a humble tribute to a player that was once gifted this model of amplifier along with a Gretsch 6120, a Whirlwind cable, and an optical volume pedal. He has since used this exact setup to create some of greatest rock music ever made.

In Conclusion, bringing this amplifier to production has been a deep labor of real love. There will only be the smallest quantity built, as some of the parts and tubes are sadly becoming genuinely unavailable - Even in the "cost is no object" paradigm, items such as the best New Old Stock tubes are practically vapor...
